Chainbridge Riverside Retreats has 7 self catering cottages in the village of Ruswarp, 2 miles from the seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. The site is located between the stunning countryside of the North York Moors National Park and the beautiful North Yorkshire & Cleveland Heritage Coast. All cottages have an outside area overlooking the River Esk.

About Chainbridge Riverside Retreats

All guests who stay in our cottages have access to our on-site amenities. There is a beautiful cafe where you can sit by the riverside and enjoy your cake and coffee along with a variety of other treats. The cafe is licensed so can also sell a small selection of beer, lager, cider and wine.

The River Esk is a beautiful place to relax by the river and enjoy the wildlife. You can even take a boat trip on the river or try out fishing for salmon or sea trout

We also find that guests of all ages enjoy our miniature railway. This is seasonal and provides a ride around our 4 acres grounds.

All cottages are tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, ensuring guests have a place to stay that is comfortable and relaxing. They include free Wi-Fi, Television, linen and utilities. Towels can be hired if required, please advise when booking.

Honeysuckle

This one bedroom, dog friendly cottage is all on one level and is perfect for two people. It has a double bedroom with an en suite shower room. The sitting room has comfortable seating and a fully equipped kitchen.

Clematis

Perfect for couples, this is a larger one bedroom dog friendly cottage and is all on one level. It has a spacious living room, separate kitchen/dining area and a downstairs double bedroom. There is a shower room, wash basin and toilet.

Fuchsia

A three bedroom, dog friendly cottage that can sleep up to six people (4 adults and 2 children). There is a double bedroom on the ground floor along with the shower room, wash basin and toilet. Also on the ground floor is a bunk bedroom for 2 children. There is a gallery area with a choice of a double bed or a single bed. The living/dining area is a great place to relax. There is also a fully equipped kitchen.

Hollyhock

A three bedroom, non-dog cottage that can sleep up to six people (4 adults and 2 children). There is a double bedroom on the ground floor along with the shower room, wash basin and toilet. Also on the ground floor is a bunk bedroom for 2 children. There is a gallery area with a choice of a double bed or a single bed. The living/dining area is a great place to relax. There is also a fully equipped kitchen.

Jasmine

This is a two bedroom, dog friendly cottage, sleeping up to four people. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor along with the shower room, wash basin and toilet. There is a gallery area with a choice of a double bed or a single bed. The living/dining area is a great place to relax. There is also a fully equipped kitchen.

The Boat Loft

This is the newest of the holiday cottages offering a great place to stay for a romantic break. It has a studio style layout all on the first floor there is a kitchen, living and dining area as well as a king sized bed. There is a bathroom, with a bath/shower, wash basin and toilet. This cottage also has exclusive use of a hot tub located on the riverside. The Boat Loft is for a maximum of 2 adults, sorry, no dogs or children.

Willow

A two bedroom, non-dog cottage, sleeping up to four people. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor along with the shower room, wash basin and toilet. There is a gallery area with a choice of a double bed or a single bed. The living/dining area is a great place to relax. There is also a fully equipped kitchen.

All accommodation is dog friendly except The Boat Loft.
