About Demeter Cottage

Our aim is to provide a place that combines traditional features with modern amenities. You will find a pleasing blend of antique and contemporary furniture, along with a tasteful décor that makes for a relaxing and enjoyable break away. Cottage amenities include:

Open aspect views over the rooftops towards the West Cliff in Whitby.
Fully fitted and well equipped kitchen/dining room.
Cosy sitting room with living flame gas fire.
Flatscreen TV and DVD player.
iPod docking station.
Utilities and bedding included. Towels available at an additional charge.
Family bathroom with freestanding bath.
King size bedroom.

As this is a traditional fisherman's cottage, visitors must appreciate that there are some steps up to the holiday cottage and steep stairs within, so is unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems

Visiting Whitby & Exploring North Yorkshire

Whitby, set on North Yorkshire's Coast, is a delightful tourist destination which not only has an interesting history but boasts a ruined abbey, working harbour, narrow cobbled streets and a wealth of visitor attractions. This lovely seaside town, which charms visitors of all ages, is close to the scenic North York Moors National Park, Heartbeat Country, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the unspoilt fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay and miles of fantastic walking and cycling country.

Visitors wanting the traditional seaside atmosphere and pastimes will not be disappointed by the selection of attractions and the beach, which nestle alongside a wealth of interesting and unusual shops, cafes and pubs.
