Sandsend Bay Holiday Cottages offer self catering holiday accommodation in an elevated position directly overlooking the Bay of Sandsend, Whitby in North Yorkshire. The location has a panoramic view out to sea, towards Whitby and across miles of open countryside. The beautifully quaint little village of Sandsend, which sits down the lane, offers miles of sandy beaches extending towards Whitby, with the cliffs rising majestically at Sandsend giving the added attraction of the rockpools at their base.
Being former farm buildings our luxury cottages all contain their own unique features and character, as well as enjoying the marvellous panoramic view surrounding them which must be one of the finest in Yorkshire.
Copper Cottage:Sleeps 2. This fully equipped one bedroom cottage is a new, single storey barn conversion. It has a super king size bed (which will zip and un-clip into two singles if preferred), and has all the comforts of home with the added bonus of a stunning sun lounge (with stone fireplace housing stove effect fire and flat screen TV), containing sofa and dining area so you can enjoy the spectacular views from either the patio or the sunny courtyard.
The Old Granary:Sleeps 4. This is a 17th Century former Old Granary. It is a fully equipped, two bedroom cottage and has oil central heating and all the comforts of home. Upstairs is a double bedroom with king size bed enjoying sea views from the window, a twin room with exposed wood truss, and a shared cloakroom on the landing. The main bathroom is downstairs with a powerful over bath shower.
Lucy’s LodgeThis lovely cottage sleeps up to 2 people, ideal for a romantic holiday. The spacious king room comes with beamed ceilings and a beautiful slipper bath. The open plan kitchen comes with a living/dining area and underfloor heating is available throughout.
Harness HouseOur ground level barn conversion enjoys spectacular views over Sandsend Bay. Bedrooms consist of two large bedrooms, a twin and a double with a king size bed. The open plan lounge area has a stove effect electric fire, leather suites, TV and DVD player. A well-equipped kitchen comes with granite worktops. A dining area leads onto a lovely patio area and grassed areas.
Barley BarnThis barn conversion comes with two bedrooms discreetly screened from the lounge by means of curtains. Both bedrooms have individual access to the bathroom which includes a shower over the bath. A large dining room enjoys sea views and the lounge comes with a reclining leather sofa and a TV. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs.
The Olde ByreOur charming three bedroom property comes with an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area with open beams and many original features. Downstairs there is a double bedroom and a single room. Upstairs there is a king size bed which splits into two singles and oozes character. The main bathroom comes with walk-in shower and a separate bath.
Carthorse CottageThis luxurious cottage is nestled a corner part of the courtyard and has 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is a double room with a super king bed, an open plan living room and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms and a large second bathroom. Outside there is a lovely patio to enjoy.
Visiting Dunsley & Exploring North YorkshireSandsend also offers an excellent restaurant, two village pubs, gift shops, several small cafes, an extensively stocked village store and post office, and even an art gallery. Our self catering holiday cottages offer easy access to the many good walks and nature trails close by with the advantage of a five minute stroll to the beach.
