Accommodation

Our traditional stone cottage sleeps up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom offers a wonderful view towards Calva Hill beyond Reeth, and the twin bedroom offers a similar view towards both Calva Hill and also the Fremington Edge escarpment to the side. The third bedroom at the rear of the house faces east catching the morning sun.

On the ground floor there is a sitting room with a view to the front of the parish church, and Fremington Edge to the side. The room has an exposed beam ceiling, a multi-fuel stove, a flat screen TV (Freesat TV and radio), and comfortable seating for 5.

A dining room, also with an exposed beam ceiling, has seating for up to 5 people, and a similar view of the church. There is a glass-fronted display cabinet, a sideboard and a long-case clock.

The well-equipped kitchen, adjacent to the dining room, has solid wood worktops and these appliances: dishwasher; washing machine; fridge-freezer; ceramic hob; electric fan oven; cooker hood; microwave oven; toaster and a kettle.

On the first floor is a master bedroom with a king-size tester bed, bedside tables, reading lights, a knee-hole dressing table with drawers and a large mirror, a triple wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. You can relax in the small armchair whilst enjoying the view.

A large twin room has reading lamps on bedside chests, a double wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a dressing table with drawers and a mirror.

A third bedroom enjoys views of the beck and comes with a 4ft 6in double bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, wardrobe and drawer space and a dressing table with drawers and a mirror.

There is a shower room with a quadrant shower, a hand basin and a WC. A separate cloakroom has a hand basin and WC.

Outside, there is a small patio garden with shrubs and flowerbeds. Garden furniture and a rotary clothes line are provided. The porch provides an ideal space for walking boots and outdoor clothing.

A small area of common land immediately alongside the cottage provides space for the parking of one car (on a first-come, first-served basis), and also access to a lockable ‘shed’ in the gable end of the cottage – perfect for storage of roof racks, bicycle racks and bicycles.
