It is just a short stroll from the local village amenities. Whitby is less than a 20 minute drive from the cottage. This seaside town makes a great day out and has something for all ages.
About Blue Beck CottageA peaceful haven for family and friends. Our detached stone cottage is spacious, comfortable and has a homely feel. Finished to the highest standards, it includes everything you will need during your stay.
The modern kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. A breakfast bar and dining area provide plenty of places to sit and enjoy meals with your family. If the weather is good, you could always eat alfresco. Garden furniture is provided and there is a BBQ available for those sunny days.

Should you need to wash anything during our stay, we have an external utility room with washing facilities. A washing machine and tumble dryer may be needed if you get caught out on walk and end up wet and muddy. If you fancy a day relaxing at the house, a games room with table tennis table provides ideal entertainment. We have a selection of games and books that all the family can enjoy.
We can sleep 8 guests in four bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. The bedrooms are made up as: super king size double with dressing room & en suite wet room, two doubles (one with en suite facilities) and a twin room. A family bathroom can be shared between one of the doubles and the twin room.
Outside is an enclosed garden, perfect if you bring children and dogs. You can sit and relax knowing they are safe, whilst they play in the sunshine. Parking is available for 4 cars and there is storage for bikes.
Visiting Egton Bridge & Exploring North YorkshireEgton Bridge sits on the River Esk in the Esk Valley. The village is quiet, so for those looking for a restful break Egton Bridge is an ideal choice. The nearest railway station is at Egton, less than half a mile away. So for those who want to explore the area on foot, we can be easily reached.
Nearby Whitby has shops, pubs and restaurants. So whether you choose to stay home and cook or treat yourselves to tea, you will be well catered for. This seaside port town has an established Maritime, mineral and tourist heritage. Attractions and places of interest include:

Walking and hiking opportunities are available from the doorstep of our cottage. The North York Moors is a place of beauty and makes for a truly enjoyable break away. It is home to vast heather moorlands, woodlands with ancient trees and plenty of wildlife.
