Clifford House Farm is a 17th Century Yorkshire Dales detached stone built farmhouse that offers self catering accommodation in the village of Buckden in North Yorkshire. The farmhouse can comfortably accommodate eleven people and is ideal for a group of friends and family who want to visit the Upper Wharfdale area for a well deserved relaxing break away. The holiday home is in the heart of the village and is within walking distance of the village pub called the Buck Inn.
AccommodationThis holiday cottage sleeps eleven people and has five bedrooms consisting of one king size double, one double with en suite shower, two twin bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor and one family room with three single beds, as well as a family bathroom.
There are two living rooms in the holiday cottage, one has a 42 inch LCD Smart TV with FreeSat, video and DVD player while the other is a more grown up lounge and has a CD player, wood burning stove and plenty of comfortable seating.
Outside, this cottage has off road parking for three cars and a patio with garden furniture and BBQ.
Local AreaLocated at the foot of Buckden Pike and close to the head of Upper Wharfedale, the idyllic village of Buckden is the perfect place to start exploring the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of Upper Wharfedale is owned by the National Trust and is composed of dry-stone walls and barns, important flower rich hay meadows and valleyside woodland. Renowned for its walking routes, this region is home to the famous Dales Way, which passes close to Buckden Pike. The village itself is comprised of a cluster of stone built cottages and houses set around a traditional green. The village is also home to the famous 'Buck Inn' a Georgian coaching pub that retains much of its old charm.
