Chalkley’s offers charming self catering accommodation in Winchmore Hill. The station is only a two minute walk away and London’s famous Oxford Street is reachable in 25 minutes. Winchmore Hill is based around a quaint village green and boasts a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants.


Our superb apartment is in The Old Bakery’s most historic section. The Old Bakery dates from the 17th Century and is a former farmhouse and bakehouse. Chalkley’s sleeps up to 4 people and is ideal for a family or small group.

The apartment comes with gorgeous brick fireplaces, beamed ceilings, modern bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The stylish living room comes with Virgin TV and the dining room has a large fireplace and an exposed brick wall which dates from the 17th Century. A fully equipped kitchen is on the first floor and has a washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Two double en suite bedrooms are available. One bedroom has a king size double bed and the other bedroom comes with two single beds. Please note that the staircase is quite narrow and steeper than contemporary staircases.

Visiting Winchmore Hill & Exploring London

Winchmore Hill Green is a lovely area to stroll around and explore. The green has several lovely coffee shops, perfect for relaxing with a good book whilst watching the world go by. A farmer’s market is held every Sunday, where you can buy delicious loaves of bread, pastries, pies and cheeses. The green has lots of shops where you can buy gifts. A large selection of restaurants and pubs are available to choose from. In nearby Green Lanes, you will find Thai, Chinese and Italian restaurants. Lots of great attractions are in London:

Big Ben.
Hyde Park.
Buckingham Palace.
