About The Cottages

The two cottages are available for holiday hire throughout the year. Both are beautifully appointed with high quality furniture, soft furnishings and fixtures, so we regret that smoking and dogs are not permitted. Both cottages are equipped with a television, radio, refrigerator, gas cooker and microwave oven. Both have a patio and parking area.

Grebe Cottage has a lounge/kitchen, one double bedroom and a bathroom with a walk in shower, so is suitable for disabled visitors.

Coot Cottage has a dining kitchen, lounge, one double and one twin bedroom, plus a bathroom with a shower cubicle. The two bedrooms can sleep up to six people, with great views of the Grade II listed bridge and country side, and views over the river onto open countryside.

Pillows, duvets, sheets and towels are provided and heating and lighting are included in the price.

Both cottages are equipped with a television, radio, refrigerator, gas cooker and microwave and oven. Both have a patio and parking area.

Fishing permits are sold in the office for fishing on the river.

Local Area

Spalding, in the peaceful South Lincolnshire Fens, with acres of sky and sunsets, is a town that has to be seen to be believed! Georgian terraces adorn the tree lined River Welland which runs through the centre of town. Overlooking the river stands Ayscoughfee Hall & Gardens, which were given to the people of Spalding. The beautiful late medieval hall once belonged to a wool merchant. Today it houses a museum depicted life in the area over the centuries.
