Church Farm Cottage & Valentine Cottage both offer self catering accommodation located in Stainton near Langworth in Lincolnshire.
Church Farm CottageA 4 star, tastefully furnished and well equipped holiday cottage.
The holiday cottage has three double bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and 2 with twin beds ) plus a delightful baby's nursery room, (situated next to the master bedroom). There is a family bathroom, and on the ground floor a large shower/ wet room as well as a separate cloakroom with W.C. and a washbasin.
In the cosy sitting room there is seating for 7, with a comfortable leather suite plus two high-back armchairs a wood burning stove and french windows which open on to the garden. All this, together with the superbly equipped dining kitchen, provide the perfect base for your holiday in Lincolnshire.
We really want our guests to have a great time at the cottage and lots of home from home luxuries are provided - good bed linen and large towels, DVD, Video and Free-view TV, Hi fi, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer machine. A selection of films, books, games, magazines and local maps and information are provided for the use of guests throughout their stay.
You are welcome to wander out to the chicken coop and collect fresh eggs for breakfast! For a small charge, we can provide bicycles for children and adults, including child seats and a child tandem bike, to explore the local area.
The self catering cottage is very cosy and warm in winter, it is very well insulated, double glazed and has oil fired central heating as well extra heat from the wood burning stove. Garden Furniture and a gas barbeque are provided for you to make full use of the garden.
Valentines CottageValentine Cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 2 luxury bathrooms (1 en-suite), sitting room and large dining kitchen.
The holiday cottage is all on a single level, with just one step down from the bedroom 'wing' to the sitting room. There is ramp access to the rear of the cottage.
The self catering cottage has 3 bedrooms all of double size. The accommodation is flexible, the Master Bedroom has a kingsized bed. The second bedroom has a 6ft Superking size, zip and link bed which can be divided to make 2, 3ft single beds. The 3rd bedroom has a 5ft Kingsize bed which can be divided to make 2 single beds suitable for children. The bedrooms have access to the en-suite shower room.
There are 2 lovely bathrooms in the self catering property both with Power Showers, the en suite bathroom has a large, luxurious 100x900cm shower enclosure with a Mira power shower, a 'designer' loo and washbasin and is warmed by underfloor heating and a ladder style electric chrome heated towel rail.
The 2nd bathroom in the holiday cottage has a large, wide shower bath (1800cm long) with Aqualisa electric Power Shower over, shower screen, 'designer' loo and large washbasin and is warmed by underfloor heating and a chrome ladder style electric heated towel rail. Both bathrooms have electric shaver/toothbrush power points.
The sitting room is a warm comfortable room with floor to ceiling windows and patio doors, allowing views over the courtyard to the garden and paddock beyond. There is seating for 6 with a leather corner group sofa and an additional high back armchair. There is flatscreen 32 inch Tv with freeview channels and DVD player. Books, Board games and films are provided for your enjoyment.
There has been no expense spared in the fabulous dining kitchen! The cupboards are a cream shaker style and the worktops solid oak. Extras such as willow vegetable baskets, wine racks, Belfast sink and a bespoke breakfast larder unit have been added. There is a peninsula unit with breakfast stools and a wall mounted TV for the chef! The appliances include an American Fridge Freezer, plumbed in for iced water and icemaking facility. A Range Cooker with 2 ovens,separate grill and warming oven. Dishwasher, Microwave oven and an extremely quiet Washer/Dryer machine. The kitchen has patio doors leading on to the courtyard to give easy access for barbequing in the summer, or for an al fresco coffee or lunch break!
Outside there is a pretty, paved courtyard with a feature fish pond (fixed metal grid over for child safety) garden furniture and barbeque. A large, enclosed lawned area is being created for next spring/summer and will be ideal for family ball games and picnics. Sheep or cattle may graze in the paddock beyond the boundary of the garden. At dusk you may spot Barn Owls hunting over the paddock. There is ample parking to rear of the cottage on the driveway.
Local AreaThe Lincolnshire Coastline boasts some of Europe's best 'blue flag' beaches (Sutton on Sea) with safe shallow,shelving beaches and clean sand. In addition, popular resorts such as Skegness and Cleethorpes provide a full range of more traditional British seaside fun. In Lincolnshire you can view the amazing sight of the breeding grey seal colonies, fly a kite, bird watch, fish for starfish and crabs in rock pools or walk your dog along miles of deserted beach.
The cottage is about 10 minutes drive away from the Lincolnshire Showground which hosts major events throughout the year including the Lincolnshire Show in June and the Grapevine Festival in August.
The area is also great for antique hunters, Hemswell Antique Centres, the largest centre in Europe for antiques and collectibles, is a short drive away, as is Horncastle with its wealth of antique shops. Open air antique fairs are often held at Swinderby and Newark show grounds.
Lincolnshire also has lots of historic houses to enjoy such as Doddington Hall, Belton House and Burghley. Some have recently been used as film sets for Hollywood movies.
Rates: From £295 to £650 per week for Church Farm Cottage depending on season. From £295 - £695 per week for Valentine Cottage. Short breaks available out of season.
