2 High quality self catering cottages just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Peterborough yet in the heart of the fens.

Situated in Crowland, midway between Peterborough and Spalding. It's a town with a village feel. You know the sort of place, full of little treasures like the old fashioned teashop and friendly Italian restaurant and where, if you want embroidery cotton you quite naturally go to the hardware shop! Yet, it's just 15 minutes drive to the A1 or Peterborough with its magnificent Cathedral, shopping, theatres and high speed trains to London, and Spalding with its horticultural history and award winning garden centres galore.

The landscape of the Fens is renowned for having huge skys, they say that's why artists love to come here and why so many have settled here. But it's more than that. It's growing country, especially bulbs. In spring there are fields full of daffodils, narcissi and tulips, hence the world famous Spalding Flower Festival that happens every year in April and the Flower Festival that takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend each year in the Abbey.

3' twin beds allow flexability and when zip linked together make a luxurious superking bed.
Patio doors to the courtyard sitting area and direct access to the large garden area with its' trampoline, swings, zip wire and chickens. We're still filling the shelves with books and DVDs. All contributions gratefully received! Lovely soft close doors hiding the dishwasher and fridge.

A shower room suitable for those with mobility issues. Tucked away under the bed is a guest bed that rises to the same height allowing either a double or twin combination. Fully enclosed private sitting area.

Places To Visit


A 5 minute drive west, on the river road towards Market Deeping will take you to the Exotic Pet Refuge, a small charity which provides home and care to both exotic and native animals who are in need. They take in all kinds of animals from zoos, organisations such as the RSPCA, or owners who cannot care for their pet any more, and British wildlife which have been injured and require care.

Barnack: Locally referred to as Hills and Hollows. The limestone, known as Barnack rag, was used to build local abbeys such as Peterborough and Crowland. It is now one of Britainís most important wildlife sites.

Market Deeping has a good range of shops and cafes and a very intersting Antique and Craft Centre with an extensive range of stands which is open daily. Be prepared to spend a long time here, it's quite absorbing.
