Spinney Cottage offers self catering accommodation located in the spinney of a 17th century hall in the village of Great Carlton, 8 miles south east of Louth in Lincolnshire. Originally part of the old coach house, it was converted into a holiday home in 2008.
AccommodationSpinney Cottage is a ground floor, one bedroom self-catering holiday cottage for two people.
There are two front entrances leading into the kitchen / diner / lounge area.It has a spacious washroom and walk-in shower with seat, wash basin, low-flush wc and heated towel rail.
The main kitchen / diner / lounge is an open plan design, very spacious and well lit and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge-freezer.
The bedroom is spacious and comfortable and accommodates two people. Although not specifically designed for use by disabled people, the cottage is all on one level, and all doors are wide enough for wheelcahair access. A full 'Access Statement' is available upon request.
Other amenities include a flat screen TV with Freeview,DVD and CD player, bed linen, towels and an information pack. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome you when you arrive.
Local AreaSurrounded by beautiful countryside, it is the ideal base for those just wanting a peaceful and quiet holiday, or for the more adventurous who want to visit the many attractions we have in our local area.
From nature reserves (and there is one within a five minute walk from the cottage), to animal sanctuaries, museums, castles, a cathedral, theme parks and much more.The area is also perfect for exploring the many footpaths and bridleways, either on foot or bicycle, and a ten-minute car journey will take you into the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of 'outstanding natural beauty' with its' famous 'Viking Way' walk and Cadwell Park racing circuit.
The coastal resorts of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe, Sutton On Sea and Skegness are all within easy reach, as are the attractive market towns of Louth, Alford, Market Rasen (races) and Horncastle (antiques), while Grimsby, Boston and Lincoln also have many interesting places to visit.
Shops, Post Office and public transport are located in Manby, a village two miles away. Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea are eight and ten miles away respectively, both have wide sandy beaches.
Rates: £220 to £370 per week depending on season.
