About Slippery Samís

Our accommodation is a Grade II listed building and dates to around 1450. The main house was once the home of Samuel Jackson, a notorious smuggler in this area. We have named the accommodation after him as a recognition to the history of the properties.

Both cottages can be let individually or together. When both are hired, they sleep up to 12 people.

Being a former pub/restaurant/hotel the property has sizeable grounds with ample parking areas. The barn has lawns to the sides and rear and guests are welcome to make use of the outside facilities. A picnic bench/seats and kettle barbecue are supplied with each property.

Smugglerís Rest

A sizeable property, perfect for groups of families and friends. It can sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms and has a comfortable and homely feel. Amenities and features include:

Three double bedrooms.
One twin bedroom.
First-floor bathroom.
Large kitchen with cooker, freezer, microwave & fridge.
Downstairs cloakroom.
Lounge/diner with TV, books & games.
Second bathroom.
Separate WC.
Washing machine.
BBQ.

A welcome pack is provided and all bedding & towels are supplied.

Moonrakerís

Perfect for families or those with limited mobility as the cottage is all on the ground floor. The cottage can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Amenities and features include:

Entrance porch.
Open plan living space with kitchen, lounge and dining.
Two double bedrooms, both with en suite facilities.
Adapted for those with limited mobility.
TV, books & games.
Cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge.
BBQ.

A welcome pack is provided and all bedding & towels are supplied.

Visiting Petham & Exploring Kent

Petham is a rural village amidst the Kent Downs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is only 5 miles south of Canterbury and is a great place to stay for those who want a break away to enjoy both country and city life.

For those who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, the surrounding countryside has a plethora of walks that all ages can enjoy. The Kent Downs are an enchanting place and home to some of the most breathtaking landscape in Southern Britain.

A short drive and you will reach the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury. This historical city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its heritage, stunning architecture and world-famous buildings.
