Summary

140 Kingsdown Park is a Scandinavian style 3-bedroomed self catering chalet, comprising one twin upstairs, one double & one bunksroom and bathroom downstairs. The holiday cottage is fully equipped with satellite TV plus DVD/CD player, shower, microwave, etc. Sleeps 6 + cot. Kingsdown Park lies on the northern edge of the famous white cliffs of Dover in an area designated as of outstanding natural beauty, some 4 miles from Dover and 1.5 from Deal.

The Lounge/Diner

Comfortable seating for 4-6. Dining table and 6 chairs, nest of tables, fitted carpet, wall mounted Sat TV.

Kitchen

Fully fitted with ample storage cupboards and large work surface, fridge, microwave, electric cooker.

Main Bedroom

Double bed with bedside cabinets, wardrobe with shelf and hanging space, fitted carpet.

2nd bedroom

Bunk beds, chest of drawers, stool, hanging/storage space, carpet.
Bathroom: Pedestal washbasin, toilet, bath and electric shower.

1st Floor

3rd bedroom: 2 single beds, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers, wardrobe.

Park facilities

Include a heated indoor swimming pool with childrens slide and toddlers splash area, tennis court, laundry, games area, restaurant/take away and private bar. Watersports can be enjoyed from the pebble beach and there are great opportunities for walks along the cliffs and beach.

Local Area

In Deal you will find another Tudor Castle, complete with cannons and dungeons, both built by King Henry VIII. Deal has many antique shops & quaint fishermen’s cottages, some of which can be viewed from the end of the pier, where you can enjoy a drink or meal.

You can do the same in Dover and also visit the Museum to view a Bronze Age boat recently excavated under a seafront road. Also, exploring Dover’s Norman Castle almost needs a whole day! Sandy beaches can be found at Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate. Canterbury, Ashford & Folkestone are great for shopping, with local markets at Deal on Saturdays, Folkestone on Sundays & Sandwich on Thursdays.

John Aspinall’s zoo parks are popular: one near Canterbury, the other near Hythe, where you can also enjoy a trip on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Miniature Railway.

France is easy by ferry from Dover or via the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone.

Rates: £250 to £550 per week depending on season.
