The House on the Point is on the edge of the Kylerhea Narrows, offering stunning views across to the mainland and Glenelg Bay. We are only 10 metres from the water's edge at high tide and set beneath the mountains Ben Aslak and Sgurr na Coinnich, perfect for a truly idyllic getaway.
Accommodation
The croft house has been carefully renovated to ensure it retains all its original character. The traditional steep staircase, low doorways and v-lined ceilings and walls have been maintained. The property is centrally heated by an oil-fired Combi-boiler, which is capable of heating all the rooms quickly, even in the most adverse weather. There are also 'coal-effect' electric stoves in the sitting room and kitchen. The cosy sitting room has two double settees, occasional tables and colour TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for all your needs. It has modern units, an electric cooker and hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. The bathroom contains a WC, washbasin and thermostatically controlled shower.
The original traditional steep and narrow staircase leads up to a landing with two fitted wardrobes. Off the landing are the two bedrooms, one having a double bed and the other twin beds. The original roof-light windows in both bedrooms and the landing look out over the water and provide excellent opportunities for our guests with binoculars and zoom cameras.
The ground floor rooms also have scenic views across to the mainland. All bedding, sheets, duvets etc are provided, towels are available on request. The house will accommodate up to four adults very comfortably.
