Bujaile nan CarnThe cottage is perfectly appointed for a group of 4 or gives a couple plenty of space to relax and recharge their batteries or as a base to enjoy the landscapes, wildlife and culture of Skye. Buaile nan Cārn (meaning Small field of the Cairns in Gaelic) describes the cottage's situation at one end a small field, overlooking The Minch and the islands of Lewis and Harris. There are two good sized bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double room looks out towards the Trotternish Hills. Linen is provided and the beds are also fitted with electric blankets.
The HomerOriginally, this was an MOD building and has remained in the same family since the war. From its elevated position, The Homer commands a super view of the district of Kilmuir, the Trotternish Hills and across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides.
Like Buaile nan Carn, The Homer accommodates four but is also ideal for couples. The lounge and dining area are combined and includes four large windows which look out towards the Outer Hebrides and the surrounding district. Relax and enjoy these amazing views. It also has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and the beds are made up including linen and fitted with electric blankets. The shower room is close to the bedrooms.
Visiting Kilmuir & Exploring the Isle of SkyeKilmuir (Cille Mhoire in Gaelic) is renowned as being 'the granary of Skye' is still largely a Gaelic speaking community and offers a real experience of island life.
