Drimlabarra Croft offers outstanding self catering accommodation in Kildonan on the Isle of Arran. We are in a fantastic position on the beachfront and boast stunning sea views, overlooking the islands of Ailsa Craig and Pladda.

Accommodation

This spacious property sleeps up to 9 people and is great for a family or group holiday. Our tastefully furnished property also has an enclosed garden, a field with climbing frame and swings, and a private gate straight on to the beach. Garden furniture for 12 people and a BBQ are provided, great for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

The spacious lounge has an open fire and patio doors open onto the garden. The dining room seats 10 and includes original stonework and a wood-burning stove for the winter months, though the house has full central heating. A newly fitted kitchen is great for home cooking and is very well equipped, including a range cooker. You can also unwind in the south facing sun room with a cup of coffee, looking out to sea. The ground floor also has a modern bathroom, separate shower room and playroom, as well as a table and chairs in a nook in the hall, overlooking the hills - our jigsaw corner! Finally, there is a large double bedroom with sofa downstairs, with patio doors to the garden - perfect for anyone with limited mobility.

Upstairs there are three attractive bedrooms: a double with en suite showerroom and WC, one twin and one large triple room with a feature fireplace, sofa and TV/DVD player. A large balcony is accessed from the en suite bedroom and is great for a coffee in the morning sun, and a perfect spot to watch the seal playing on the rocks. Additionally, there is a WC. All rooms are south facing, overlooking the sea. All bed linen and towels are included.

Visiting Kildonan & Exploring the Isle of Arran

Kildonan is a pretty village with gorgeous beaches and rocky coves to enjoy. The beach at the front of the house is home to seals and many sea birds. Occasionally, otters and dolphins are seen.

The Kildonan Hotel overlooks Pladda Island and Ailsa Craig and serves a selection of seafood and other local specialities in the dining room.
