Treetops is an outstanding self catering property in the Highlands of Scotland. This beautiful Edwardian property was built around 100 years ago. It is situated in a picturesque position above the Speyside town of Newtonmore, in Inverness-shire.
About TreetopsOur holiday home has been modernised and refurbished to an exceptional standard throughout. The accommodation sleeps up to 10 in 5 luxury bedrooms. The public rooms are designed in an open plan contemporary style, ideal for family living. There is a spacious open plan dining and family room with log burning stove and a large table seating 10. The sitting room has three comfy sofas, an open fireplace and French doors leading to a patio. The kitchen and utility room are fitted with a full range of appliances. There is also a small sun lounge. The kitchen and utility rooms are fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, espresso machine, washing machine and tumble drier. A high chair, cot and stair gates are available on request. The living areas have a large widescreen LCD HD television, DVD player, PlayStation and stereo. A wide selection of books, games, toys and DVDs are also available for your use.
Upstairs there is a shower room with rain mist shower and underfloor heating, two large double bedrooms, a large twin room and a room with a cabin bed and a small single bed, suitable for two children. Downstairs there is a large double bedroom and bathroom with roll-top bath. A sofa bed is available in the family room, which can be used to provide additional/alternative sleeping arrangements subject to agreement with the owner.
The house has oil fired central heating, an open fire shared between the sitting and dining rooms, a wood-burning stove in the family room and underfloor heating in the upstairs bathroom.
Towels, linen, firewood/coal and cleaning products are included in your rental. We also provide a small supply of consumables such as tea, coffee, washing powder, toilet rolls etc for convenience at the beginning of your stay.
Outside a large garden containing many mature trees, with views to the Monadhliath Mountains above Newtonmore. French doors lead out from the lounge to a paved area with seating and then onto a lawned area. Most of the slopes have been left in their natural state. At the side of the house, there is parking for four cars. During the summer patio furniture, barbeque and a midgebuster will allow you to enjoy the long light evenings.
Visiting Newtonmore & Exploring The HighlandsTreetops' location gives great access to the Cairngorms National Park, Speyside and Lochaber with their wide variety of visitor attractions and outdoor activities.
Newtonmore is the walking centre of Scotland, with all types of walks easily accessible from the door, including the Wildcat Trail. Both the Cairngorms and Nevis ranges are within easy reach. Downhill skiing is available at both Cairngorm and Nevis Range, hire and instruction are available at both centres. Ski Touring is good on the Monadhliath Mountains behind the house and in the Cairngorms.
There are great opportunities for both road and mountain biking in the area including Wolftrax a purpose-built mountain biking area.
