Carnegie Cottage in Dunfermline offers charming self catering accommodation in a Victorian worker's cottage that dates from around 1980. The cottage is based in a tranquil area but just a short stroll from the historic quarter with its abbey and palace ruins.

Accommodation

Our delightful terraced holiday cottage maintains many fabulous original features, include fireplaces and working window shutters, whilst still providing quality modern accommodation.

The living room is a great place to unwind after a day visiting all the attractions. Facilities include a TV, DVD player and comfortable seating. Rustle up some tasty dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes a coffee machine, cooking utensils, grill, kitchenette, kitchen stove, microwave, oven, refrigerator and toaster.

All of the bedrooms are made up ready for your arrival. The master bedroom is a large room with a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 adult-sized bunk beds. Both bedrooms are centrally heated. Both rooms share a shower room.

On the upper floor is Glen Malcolm Apartment, a lovely self-contained apartment with a private entrance.

Visiting Dunfermline & Exploring Fife

Our holiday home is only a short stroll from a local supermarket as well as a whole variety of shops in Dunfermline. There are numerous restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets within easy walking distance of the cottage.

For those who want to explore the surrounding area, Fife offers plenty of activities and places of interest that all ages can enjoy. There are many historic buildings, miles of beautiful Scottish countryside that is waiting to be explored and over 150 km of glorious coastline. Great attractions to visit include:

Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum.
Blackness Castle.
Hopetoun House.
Dunfermline Palace.
Dunfermline Golf Club.
