Peterswell is a beautiful, high-spec cottage nestled on the edge of Houston conservation village, just 10 minutes from Glasgow Airport. The main living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, providing everything needed to prepare anything from light snacks to a full Sunday roast. The spacious dining area features a chunky reclaimed timber table paired with comfortable velvet chairs, making it an inviting place to enjoy meals or play board games.

The lounge area is designed for relaxation, with a classic leather sofa and a comfortable armchair with a footstool, all positioned to take in the countryside views. The village has a long and rich history dating back to the 12th century, with evidence of even earlier settlement from the Stone Age. It is home to popular local pubs which are within walking distance such as The Houston Inn and The Fox and Hounds, which attract visitors from further afield.

A short drive opens up even more to see, including the beautiful Castle Semple Loch and surrounding country park, which are popular for walking, cycling, wildlife spotting and water activities. Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, the largest regional park in Scotland, is also nearby and offers extensive trails and scenic landscapes. For history and culture, visitors can explore sites such as Newark Castle or take a short trip to nearby towns like Paisley and Glasgow, where you’ll find museums, historic buildings and attractions such as the Riverside Museum.
