Summary

Created from our dream of converting a series of old redundant barns, we look forward to welcoming you to our two renovated self – catering holiday homes: Swallow Cottage will comfortably sleep 5 and The Granary will comfortably sleep 3. Both cottages have been sympathetically restored to a very high standard and retain their 18th Century Grade II Listed charm of exposed stone walls, oak beams, wall timbers and original trusses giving both properties their own distinct character.

The Granary

Ground Floor:
A large open plan kitchen/living area with exposed beams, a large comfy sofa and a log effect electric fire.
TV with built-in DVD player and Free-view, Radio/CD player and a small library of books and games.
Fully fitted Kitchen which includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, making it a true home from home.
Dining area with table and seating for 4.
Cupboards under stairs with Vacuum cleaner, clothes airer, Ironing board and Iron.
Stairs leading to first floor.

First Floor:
Landing with airing cupboard.
A master bedroom with double bed, Free-view TV and hair dryer. Double doors lead to a balcony.
A shower room with glass cubicle and power shower, basin and toilet.
Second bedroom with single bed which would be ideal for 1 adult or 1 child and also room for a cot. Stable door leads to a balcony.

Garden and Parking:
Full glass double doors and screen leads out to the front courtyard with small paved area and garden.
Double doors at rear opening onto a patio and own small garden with seating area.
Gravelled parking area for car at the rear of property.
Sorry NO pets. No smoking allowed within the property.

Swallow Cottage

Ground Floor:

TV with built in DVD player and Free-view, Radio/CD player and a small library of books.
Fully fitted Kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, making it a true home from home.
Dining area with large table and seating for 6.
French doors opening onto a small enclosed private garden.
Cupboard under stairs with airer, ironing board. Stairs leading to first floor.
First Floor:
Landing with airing cupboard .
A master bedroom with en suite facilities including shower, basin and toilet. Double bed, Free-view TV. Door leads to a step out balcony. Second bedroom with two single beds and room for a cot. Third bedroom with single bed or cot. Family bathroom with bath/shower over, handbasin and toilet.
Garden and parking:
Double doors at rear opening onto a patio and own small enclosed garden with seating area.
Gravelled parking area at front for two cars.

Both cottages are inclusive of:
Oil fired central heating, electricity and water.
Bed linen consisting of fitted sheets, duvet and cover, pillows and pillowcases, bath towels and hand towels. (a change of bedding and towels will be made available for those staying longer than one week).

Shared use of communal paddock with wildlife pond and children’s play area

Set within an acre of communal garden our children's play area will allow you to relax whilst your children play. With its swings, large sand pit, sculpted dragon and a large paddock to run around in. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the distant views and wildlife pond from one of the various seating areas. Sit back, relax and enjoy our tranquil Shropshire countryside.

Information Area

Shared Information centre contained in a converted station wagon with payphone, Wifi, books, games and children's toys. Includes a section for secure bike storage.

Visiting Bucknell & Exploring Shropshire

Nearby is the Welsh market town of Knighton, home of the Offa's Dyke Heritage Centre and long distance path. Ludlow with its harmonious mix of architecture and 11th Century castle provides the perfect backdrop to its famous Michelin star restaurants, food fairs and various festivals. Also of interest is a visit to Acton Scott working farm as featured in the BBC2 television series 'Victorian Farm' and Stokesay Court, which is a magnificent late Victorian mansion and featured as a primary location for the film adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel "Atonement".
