Summary

Maytime Cottage is set in open countryside within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are just one mile from the village of Whitwell and four miles from the Victorian resort of Ventnor. Our cottage is close to some of the Isle of Wight’s finest beaches.

Our cottage has a large living area comprising of 3 main reception rooms, a sitting room, a large kitchen/diner and a further garden room opening onto the patio and rear garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and has the benefit of a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob, oven, fridge and separate freezer. There is a bathroom and WC upstairs and also a shower room and WC on the ground floor.

The sleeping accommodation is in 3 upstairs bedrooms. The first is a large double room with double bed, the second is also a double room with a single bed and a set of 3ft bunk beds. The third bedroom is a single room with one single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided for up to six people. Heating and hot water are provided by a gas central heating boiler. There are also wood burning stoves in the living room and the dining area, perfect for those Winter months.

Outside there is an enclosed private rear garden which backs onto an open field. The garden is bounded by hedges and has a patio area with seating and a rotary washing dryer. We also provide some folding chairs for use in the garden.

Visiting Whitwell & Exploring the Isle of Wight

Fine country views with easy access to beaches and walking trails are right on our doorstep. A multitude of activities and attractions are on the Island: whether you prefer surfing, horse riding, paragliding or just relaxing and taking in the scenery, you can tailor your holiday to suit your own tastes. Golfing and fishing are within 10 miles.

Rates: From £450 to £950 per week depending on season.
