Ribble Valley Country Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Waddington. Our two cottages near Clitheroe in Lancashire have been beautifully created to offer a fabulous experience, great for an idyllic escape. The cottages both offer pure luxury, a true home from home. You can look forward to an array of lavish features, including Italian tiled floors, underfloor heating and 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. We also provide everything you need to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, including towels, tea towels and everything for the wood burner.

The Granary – Sleeps 8

Our luxurious cottage sleeps 8 people (up to 10 if necessary) and is ideal for an unforgettable group or family holiday. This elegantly designed cottage is more akin to a barn conversion, offering plenty of space to unwind in whilst still feeling cosy. Outside there is garden furniture, lawned areas and a private garden, plus a stone-paved patio and BBQ. Great for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. This truly is the perfect country retreat.

A large open-plan lounge comes with two comfy leather sofas, a small leather Chesterfield, a large wingback chair, a wood-burning stove, a filled log basket and a smart TV, providing a great space to relax and socialise in. Cook up a storm in the brand-new cream shaker kitchen which comes with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, Rangemaster classic 5 burner range cooker and 2 electric ovens, granite worktops, Nespresso coffee machine, a large oak table with church pew and 6 leather dining chair.

Bedrooms consist of a super king en suite room, a king en suite room and a twin room. The occasional bedroom can sleep 2 adults or 4 children – alongside a TV and games console, this room contains a king bed and sofa bed, plus a triple wardrobe. A modern house bathroom has a walk-in wet room style shower, sink and WC. The en suite bathrooms consist of a lavish free-standing bath and walk-in shower. Superb features slate title, white-ware and chrome fittings. Additionally, a utility room contains a washer/dryer, hand basin and WC.

Fellside Cottage – Sleeps 6/7

Our gorgeous cottage adjoins Fellside but is slightly smaller, offering a magical getaway in the Ribble Valley. The exterior offers warm tones brimming with character, whilst the interior provides soft cream tones and refreshing decor to relax in. Outside the paved terrace includes outdoor furniture, a BBQ, a private fenced garden and lawn. The ideal space for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine.

A fully fitted country kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a large oak dining table to seat six, incorporating a dishwasher, microwave, 5-hob Rangemaster range cooker, two electric ovens, larder and fridge-freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and iPod/iPhone docking station. Relax in the attractive lounge which has a toasty log burning stove, two leather sofas and a leather armchair and Smart TV.

Bedrooms consist of a master en suite bedroom with a leather king-size sleigh-bed, a king room and a twin room with a pull-out bed. A large bathroom has a walk-in wet room style shower, free-standing bath, sink and toilet. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Visiting Waddington & Exploring Lancashire

We are in the ideal area for discovering the natural beauty of Forest of Bowland and the Ribble Valley. Both places are a haven for walkers, cyclists and wildlife spotters looking to see nature at its finest. The quaint village of Waddington has a post office and village shop, a social club, two churches and three eateries. In nearby Clitheroe you can visit Clitheroe Castle Museum for a fascinating day out or Clitheroe Castle, home to a glorious Medieval castle ruin in a hilltop park. In the heart of the town is Holmes Mill which features an Everyman Cinema, a food hall, brewery and beer hall. Further attractions to visit include:
