Widefirth Cottages

Summary

Widefirth Cottages consists of two self catering properties with spacious living accommodation and well proportioned airy rooms. The cottages are in a great location for exploring the Orkney Islands.

Accommodation

Both cottages have underfloor heating and are all on one level providing easy access for wheelchair users.

The large, well equipped kitchen has everything you may need, including a large built-in fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave conventional oven, electric hob and oven. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, additional sink and storage facilities.

The comfortable sitting room has an electric fire and there is a widescreen TV with DVD player.

The spacious dining room has a stereo and iPod docking station. Doors lead out from the dining room to the garden and patio.

There are three bedrooms - the master bedroom has a fabulous four poster bed and en-suite bathroom which includes a walk in shower, this is designed for wheelchair users and there is also a seated area available in the shower and a grab rail at the toilet. There are also two twin bedrooms. TVs are in all of the bedrooms.

The family bathroom has a luxurious spa bath and separate showering area.

Outside there is a large, enclosed garden with a separate bbq area and patio. There is also a separate drying area. The cottages also have a small shed available for bikes, fishing and outdoor gear.

The Area

There is so much to see and do in the area and the cottage is situated perfectly for discovering the Orkney Islands. Riff Farmhouse is only a 20 minute drive from the archaeological sites of Skara Brae, Maes Howe and the Standing Stones of Stenness. Other places to visit include:

RSPB Reserve at Cottascarth.
Hall of Rendall.
The Broch of Gurness.
