Island Riding Centre

Summary

Island Riding Centre offers superb self catering accommodation on the Isle of Wight. We have a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cottages available, ideal for friends or family looking to stay in a beautiful part of the country. Onsite there is a wide range of facilities, including 5* equestrian centre with indoor and outdoor arenas offering riding activities for all ages and abilities, a playground perfect for children, farm animals, acres of land for family walks and an onsite bar and restaurant.

The Gallops

We have 10 cottages, some newly built in 2017 and period cottages in a Victorian dairy barn conversion. The beautifully furnished properties are arranged around a pretty courtyard and have been awarded Visit England’s 4 Star Gold award. All of the cottages have additional bathrooms and WCs downstairs and three have downstairs bedrooms and wet-rooms ideal for wheelchair users.

All the properties come with well-equipped kitchens, comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms and cosy living areas with Wi-Fi and Freeview TV. Five of our cottages are dog-friendly with enclosed rear gardens. Young ones can enjoy playing at the children’s playground which is securely fenced and includes swings, a see-saw, football area and climbing frame.
There are two electric car charging points for guest use.

Frankel

Sleeps 4 in a king-size en suite and twin en suite bedroom which can be converted into a king-size bed, with kitchen, lounge/diner and additional shower room and WC on the ground floor and enclosed lawned garden with seating.

Marengo

This three-bedroom house includes a dual aspect master double bedroom with a day bed for a child and a twin bedroom upstairs with family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Downstairs, you will find a single bedroom and a wet room, open plan living, kitchen and dining area with comfortable lounge seating, dining table and chairs for 6 and French doors leading to a private patio garden with seating.

Pegasus

A four-bedroom house, three bedrooms upstairs including a large master en suite bedroom with a king-size bed two twin bedrooms and family bathroom with bath. Downstairs, you will find king size bedroom and a wet room, open plan living, kitchen and dining area with comfortable lounge seating, dining table and chairs for 8 and French doors leading to a private patio garden with seating.

Red Rum

Sleeps up to 4 people with master king en suite and a twin en suite room which can be converted into a king. Large open plan lounge diner with sliding doors to rear garden and separate kitchen this is another of our dog friendly cottages.

Sea Biscuit

Includes a master double en suite and two twin rooms upstairs with family bathroom includes a shower over the bath.
Downstairs, you will find a single bedroom and a wet room open plan living, kitchen and dining area with comfortable lounge seating, dining table and chairs for 8 and French doors leading to a private patio garden with seating.

Sefton

Three bedrooms are available: a master double room, twin room and bunk room. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and a separate shower room and WC downstairs with large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.

Shergar

Comes with a double, twin and bunk room. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and a separate shower room and WC downstairs with large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with doors to private enclosed garden.

Valegro

Sleeps 6 in a double, twin and bunk room. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and a separate shower room and WC downstairs with large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with doors leading to private enclosed garden, suitable for dogs.

Warrior

Includes a master double, twin and bunk room. All the rooms share a shower over the bath and a separate shower room and WC downstairs with large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.

The Orchard

Set in its own gardens, our charming bungalow has been fully renovated to offer fantastic accommodation in 4 spacious double bedrooms arranged as mater with king, second double, twin bunkroom. Four bathrooms are also available. A lovely open plan living/kitchen/diner will suit all your needs.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an American fridge-freezer, 8kg washing machine and a touch-sensitive hob and double oven. The living area comes with a 49’’ wall-mounted smart TV with Freeview. Outside there is a lovely seating area around a fire pit with brick built BBQ. There is private parking for up to 4 cars with electric car charger.

We offer state-of-the-art facilities, including wax fibre indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a livery yard and multiple on-site riding tracks – please enquire for further details. We also have an on-site bar and restaurant.
