New Court Cottages offers charming self catering accommodation in Usk, Monmouthshire. Our newly renovated barns are set within a nature reserve, perfect for a tranquil holiday.

Yaffle Barn

Our luxurious cottage is approached at 1st floor level over a modern glass bridge. The large living area is a lovely place to relax in and comes with an inset wood burner, comfy sofas and TV. A well-equipped kitchen has bifold doors which opens onto the garden.

A spiral staircase descends to the ground floor where there are two spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom comes with its own bifold door, en suite bathroom and Moroccan plaster feature wall. Both bedrooms have a seating area and en suite bathroom with Hansgroghe rain shower. All the bedrooms come with high-quality towels, toiletries, a hairdryer, TV and sheepskins on the floor.

The Snug

Our smaller cottage is perfect for a romantic break. Inside there is a living area, well-equipped kitchen and large bed sofa. Facilities include a modern wood burner and TV. A spiral staircase leads to a well-designed shower room with a Hansgroghe rain shower. The bedrooms boast a polished plaster wall, double bed, white cowhide bed cover, TV and hairdryer.

Outside there is a lawned area to the rear and a further garden to explore which comes with a small stream, wooded area and garden room. There is direct access to the surrounding wildlife reserve and farm. Ideal for enjoying glorious views across the Usk Valley towards the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.

A popular combination of the above 2 properties providing 4 double bedrooms, 2 kingsize ensuites, one double and one comfy double sofabed, accommodating 8-10.

Visiting Usk & Exploring Monmouthshire

You can explore a range of superb attractions in the local area. The Black Mountains are truly beautiful. There are lots of wonderful trails to explore. Tintern Abbey dates to the 18th Century and is a great place to explore on a sunny day. Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal runs through 32 miles of gorgeous scenery. You can hire a boat from a range of boating holiday companies on the canal. Lots of great attractions are nearby:

Roman Fort in Caerleon.
Dewstow Gardens.
Tread and Trot Trails.
Chepstow Castle.
Llandegfedd Reservoir.
