The village is serviced by bus routes to Cardigan and Aberystwyth, making it easy to explore without a car. Aberporth boasts two sandy beaches ideal for swimming, water sports and rock pooling, with one beach welcoming dogs throughout the year.

The Ceredigion Coast Path offers scenic walks to nearby Tresaith and its beachside pub, as well as to the National Trust's Penbryn beach and the delightful village of Llangrannog. Keep an eye out for Cardigan Bay's famous bottlenose dolphins, often spotted from the shore or on boat trips from New Quay, which also offers a range of water sports.

The market town of Cardigan, just 7 miles away, features supermarkets, craft and food shops, pubs, cafés, galleries and a castle. For those willing to venture further, the Cambrian Mountains and the Pembrokeshire coast, including Tenby, offer captivating day trips.
