About High Swinside Farmhouse

Upon entrance to the property, there is a large dining area and open plan to the kitchen that boasts a long farmhouse table comfortably seating up to nine guests. The kitchen is well equipped for a comfortable family to stay with electric oven and hob, microwave, slow cooker, espresso machine, food processor, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge. There are further laundry facilities in the basement including a tumble drier, and a large chest freezer that guests can also use.

The large sitting room has comfortable sofas and armchairs, TV and a log burner – perfect for cosy nights in around the roaring fire with plenty of games available. There are lovely views across the valley.

There are 4 bedrooms consisting of one twin room on the ground floor (with a downstairs shower room nearby). Upstairs there is another twin room, a large en suite double room and a spacious family bedroom containing a single and a super king bed which can be separated into 2 singles if you prefer. There is also a large family bathroom upstairs in addition to the ensuite shower room.

If you need more space then the Farmhouse can be let with Little Swinside next door as the two are connected via a lockable door.

Outside is a shared garden that has picnic tables and benches where guests can sit back and relax and enjoy the stunning 180 degree views. There is also an enclosed area where dogs are free to roam safely and there is gated access which opens onto the fells with lots of wonderful walks right on your doorstep.

If that’s not enough, then why not relax under the stars with the breathtaking views in our wood-fired hot tub (extra charge).
