Court Close offers self catering accommodation in the centre of the pretty village of Litton Cheney. We are just a short drive from Weymouth in Dorset. Despite its central position, the views are of open countryside.

Accommodation

Court Close sleeps up to 10 people in 5 en suite bedrooms and has the capacity for 2 travel cots. The interior is a mixture of contemporary and traditional giving it a fresh/modern feel that is still homely and inviting.

The majority of the rooms in the self catering accommodation are south facing and come with lovely long windows allowing maximum light to flood the house. The property has oil fired central heating throughout and a stunning, large enclosed mature garden and pond. There is ample off road parking. On the ground floor there is a double aspect sitting room with large TV/full Sky package and open fire. A study includes a TV/DVD player and door to the front terrace. The large and contemporary style kitchen/dining room comes with a range style cooker, electric ovens and 6 ring gas hob/American fridge freezer/2 dishwashers, microwave and ceramic floor. Doors lead to an east facing patio area and garden. On the ground floor there is also a cloakroom/WC and utility room with access to the garden. A large twin room (6ft zip/link) comes with a TV and en suite wet room.

On the first floor there are four bedrooms. One double bedroom comes with a 6ft bed and en suite bath/shower/WC. Two twin rooms are available: one twin/6ft zip link with an en suite shower room and one twin/6ft zip link with an en suite bath, separate shower and WC. A further 5ft double room with en suite bath/shower/WC is available.

Visiting Litton Cheney & Exploring Dorset

We are close to the stunning Jurassic Coastline and wherever you choose to visit it, this holds a wealth of experiences. You can visit Dancing Ledge near Studland or enjoy the stunning sights of Durdle Door near Lulworth Cove. The lovely old Harbour at Weymouth, The Flete and Chesil Beach and Golden Cap at Chideock are all worth visiting. The famous Cobb at Lyme Regis is wonderful for fossil hunting.

You can enjoy stunning coastal walks covering nearly all these areas and savour glorious views. All offer an exhilarating experience at different times of year. The walking and cycling trails are extensive both from Dove House and nearby locations. We can direct you to some great circular walks to justify that big supper in the evening! There are more gardens, National Trust properties, houses and locations than you could ever fit in a one week visit. The Tourist Board can give you the annual National Garden Scheme booklet for open gardens prior to your stay.
