Accommodation

This comfortable and well presented self catering holiday apartment is situated in a historic listed building overlooking the Royal Mile, just moments from Edinburgh Castle or St Giles Cathedral.

The apartment is on the second floor. The hall is entered off a traditional Edinburgh communal stairwell.

This unique apartment has four traditional window seats to the front where guests can sit and watch the ever changing bustle of the Royal Mile below. All rooms overlook the Royal Mile.

The sitting / dining / kitchen area is open plan. The comfortable sitting area has a digital television with Freeview, DVD player and a CD / radio / cassette player. The fully fitted and newly equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, fridge / freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, iron and microwave.

The sleeping accommodation comprises two bedrooms: one double and one twin. A double sofa-bed in the sitting area extends the sleeping capacity to six.

Advocate's Close

The apartment is on the first floor and is quite unique in that you can enter the apartment from either the traditional Edinburgh communal stairwell off Advocate's Close or alternatively by its own private entrance directly from the Royal Mile at 357 High Street.

You will find great restaurants, pubs and shops along the bustling Royal Mile, and there are always hidden pleasures to be found as you explore the historic closes and surrounding streets.

The apartment is on the third floor, with large windows overlooking the pedestrian precinct area of the Royal Mile.

The sittingroom has comfortable, built-in window seats, where guests can sit and watch the ever changing bustle of the Royal Mile below.

The sitting / dining / kitchen area is open-plan. The comfortable sitting area has a digital television with Freeview, DVD player and a CD / radio with an iPod dock.

The fully fitted and well equipped kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, iron and microwave. There is a large dining table that can seat up to eight guests.

Wireless Internet broadband is provided for use with your own laptop, tablet or smart phone.

The sleeping accommodation comprises two bedrooms: one double to the rear of the apartment and one twin with secondary glazing to the front.

A sofa-bed (really only suitable as a single) in the sitting area extends the sleeping capacity to five.

Edinburgh is sometimes called the City of Festivals. During the summer, it hosts the world famous International Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. Whether you are looking for formal concerts or are happy just watching the Fringe street artists and performers, you will always find something to keep you entertained. In August, the castle, which sits high above the Edinburgh skyline, is brought alive with the pipes and drums of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
