Visiting Morningside & Exploring Edinburgh

Morningside is like a little town within the city. There is a Waitrose just around the corner and a Marks and Spencer 5 minutes walk away. On Morningside Road there are superb cafes, excellent pubs, and lovely shops. It also has one of the last privately owned cinemas in the UK.

The area is served by several buses. Each runs frequently into the city centre. The journey taking only 5 - 10 minutes. There is a lovely walk through the "Meadows" and "Bruntsfield links" parks into the Old Town and Castle area.

Paid on street parking at 1.60 per hour Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm for a max of 4 hours. Parking is free outside of these times and at weekends.
