Lagafater offers wonderful self catering accommodation in New Luce, nestled with 7000 acres of heather moorland. Based on our estate in Dumfries & Galloway, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Accommodation

Our property sleeps up to 16 people, perfect for families and large groups. The house is tastefully furnished throughout and equipped with a range of families. You are welcome to explore the estate, offering wild swimming, river fishing, wildlife and moorland hikes.

Inside we have a well-equipped kitchen with a three-one Esse range oven and a variety of appliances. There is a large larder, lots of work surfaces, a fridge, two chest freezers and an 8ft kitchen table. The drawing room is the perfect place to unwind in after a day exploring. There is comfy seating, a wood-burning stove and a selection of puzzles and games and a Steinway Concert Grand piano.

The dining room seats up to 16 people and features elegant glassware and silver tableware, plus antique ornaments. We also have a gunroom for wet weather clothing and there is a WC and wash basin.

We have 4 double rooms, 4 singles and 2 twin rooms. All the rooms come with modern mattresses, hypoallergenic pillows and a wash basin. 3 traditional bathrooms are complemented by two shower rooms.

Visting New Luce & Exploring Dumfries & Galloway

Whilst staying with us you can also explore the county of Dumfries and Galloway, home to acres of forest, sandy beach, outdoor activities, bustling towns and historical attractions. Visit Caerlaverock Castle or explore Drumlanrig Castle & Gardens. Attractions to visit include:
