We are nestled on the edge of woodland on Cairnhouse Farm, a 400-acre working stock-rearing farm that is home to 100 hill cows and 450 ewes. We are nearby to Wigtownshire and the perfect location for touring Dumfries & Galloway.

Our wonderful rural location makes us a haven for country lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. The cottage is tastefully furnished and comes with a range of facilities to suit all your needs.The house is completely secluded and private, offering breathtaking views from the terrace across open fields down towards Wigtown Bay and the Galloway Hills beyond. Outside there is a fully enclosed garden suitable for children and pets. A secure shed for storage of bicycles is also available.
Three lovely bedrooms are available: a double en suite and 2 twin rooms. Both rooms share a bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Visiting Newton Stewart & Exploring Dumfries & Galloway
We are based in one of the most picturesque parts of Dumfries and Galloway. Wigtown, Scotland's National Booktown, is only 5 minutes away and there are several sandy beaches, interesting villages and harbours accessible within half an hour's drive. The port at Cairnryan has ferry links to Northern Ireland and there are also several golf courses within easy reach. Cyclists can enjoy a scenic ride along part of the 7 Stanes mountain bike network. Great attractions to visit include:Bladnoch Distillery & Visitor Centre.
