Accommodation

Our wonderful lodges are perfect for an idyllic break and guests are welcome to stroll around the grounds of the magnificent 600-acre estate. You can unwind in the pretty walled garden and there is also a grass tennis court. You can also enjoy wildlife walking trails, an interactive family Faerie Trail, a coffee shop, pony trekking and a riding centre close by on our estate at Barstobrick.

Our charming lodges are set in a tranquil location, offering the ultimate rural escape in gorgeous natural surroundings. The timber lodges are well insulated, fully equipped and come with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Our two-bedroom lodges sleep 3 or 4 people in 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 with single or bunk beds. There is also a lovely open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area and a shower room. Facilities in all the lodges include:

TV/DVD.
Kitchen including microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Shower.
Bed linen, duvets and towels.
Beds made up for your arrival.
Electricity by meter reading.
Travel cots and highchairs (additional charge).

Visiting Ringford & Exploring Dumfries & Galloway

You can visit lots of brilliant attractions in the local area. Threave Castle dates from 1369 and is reachable by ferry boat. You can also head to Threave Garden, a Victorian-era park with wonderful flora and fauna. Nearby Castle Douglas is an 18th Century market town which has lots of independent shops and just over 20 minutes away is The Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park. Within the park, you’ll also find the Dark Sky Observatory, perched on a hilltop. Further attractions to visit include:
