Bar Hill Lodge is a cosy holiday cottage that can be found in a stunning part of Scotland, at Gatehouse-of-Fleet in Dumfries & Galloway. This 19th century cottage is set in a picturesque location.

Accommodation

This idyllic holiday cottage has a real luxury feel and includes everything you need for a get away from it all break. At the end of the day you can return to our holiday home, curl up on the couch and warm you toes by the fire.

The holiday cottage can sleep up to 4/6 people, in 2 bedrooms and on a sofa bed. The ground floor, master bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has a twin bed and the sofa bed can be found in the lounge/dining room. Please note that for the sofabed, the duvet and pillows are provided but you need to bring your own bed linen.

The open plan living room/dining room has a lovely fire, TV and DVD player. The kitchen has everything you may need on holiday including Espresso machine, dishwasher, washer/drier and fridge/freezer.

There is an enclosed garden to the rear with garden furniture and BBQ. Table tennis is available by prior arrangement.

Local Area

A haven for wildlife (bats, badgers, birds and red squirrels!), the cottage is ideally situated for walking and cycling. Walks and cycle trails (National Cycle Route 7), which lead through the forest and down to the coast, are literally on your doorstep! Cycle hire in nearby Kirkcudbright. Large sandy beaches of Sandgreen and Carrick, with its rock pools, nearby, and golf, riding, water sports on Loch Ken, fishing (lake and sea), all within easy reach.
