Accommodation

There are seven-holiday cottages at Kirkwood comprising of three different types. Dalton Green Farmhouse is a recently refurbished 5-star property offering luxury facilities in a traditional farmhouse. Otter, Hare and Fox are three-star quality having modern interiors situated within very attractive listed, historical buildings. They are double glazed, well insulated and well finished. Otter and Hare are graded by VisitScotland. South Lodge, West Lodge and Roe Deer are traditional, 2 star cottages that are simply furnished, warm, clean and comfortable.

Dalton Green Farmhouse - sleeps 10

Our stunning farmhouse has been designed in a country style, blending antique and modern furniture, complemented by high-quality touches and detailing. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with four bedrooms boasting super-king beds while the 5th can be made as a twin. Wonderful features include two sitting rooms, a large dining room and a large kitchen with a 4-oven Aga. The garden offers lots of space to relax in while your four-legged friend stretches their legs.

Red Squirrel – Sleeps 3

This charming cottage adjoins woodland and comes with a cosy sitting room and an open plan dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is also a family bathroom. Upstairs there are two double rooms and a shower room.

Fox – Sleeps 4

Our lovely property boasts great views from the living area and combines traditional with a modern feel. Downstairs there are two comfy bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double. The family bathroom is next to the double bedroom. Upstairs there is a large open plan living area with a comfy sofa, an electric fire, CD and DVD player and TV. There is a dining area and fully equipped kitchen.

Hare – Sleeps 5

This family holiday home comes with a living room/kitchen, shower room and double bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a twin en suite and a single room. It is situated in the Stables Courtyard and benefits from the facilities that are found there.

Otter – Sleeps 6

Our wonderful cottage offers lots of space to relax in. Downstairs there is a family bathroom, double en suite and twin room. Upstairs there is a twin room and an open plan living area with a comfy lounge, large dining table and well-equipped kitchen.

Roe Deer – Sleeps 4

This superb cottage has a lovely sitting room with an open fire, a TV, DVD player and CD player. There is a large dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin which enjoys views of the courtyard.

West Lodge – Sleeps 4

Our fabulous ground level cottage is based at the main entrance to Kirkwood. There are two beautiful twin bedrooms, a cosy sitting room, dining area and galley-style kitchen. The spacious bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

South Lodge – Sleeps 6

This relaxing lodge is very private and only a few hundred yards from the village. The lodge comes with a private garden and adjoining fields. Downstairs there is a large kitchen, cosy sitting room with an open fire and twin room. Upstairs there is a twin and double en suite room. A further family bathroom is at the top of the stairs.

The Stables Courtyard has a laundry with a washing machine and a tumble dryer and a communal chest freezer along with rod rests for fishermen. There is also a games room with a full-sized snooker table, table tennis, darts and exercise machines. There is a small children’s play area.

All cottages have televisions with Freeview, DVD & CD players, hairdryers, electric cookers and microwave ovens, fridges (with freezer compartments), electric heaters, electric blankets, toasters and kitchenware to make fully equipped kitchens. The three-star cottages have dishwashers in them too. The courtyard cottages (Otter, Fox, Hare, Red Squirrel & Roe Deer) can also have access to Sky TV and/or WIFI for an additional cost – please ask when booking.
