The Victorian Barn is in a beautiful part of Dorset and offers beautifully appointed self catering accommodation, just 30 minutes from the Jurassic Coast. Our barn and accommodation is set in 65 acres of beautiful grounds, at Woolland near Blandford Forum. Our holiday Houses, Apartments, Barn Conversions, Cottages and Lodges can accommodate either small or large groups and can be booked individually or together. There are lots of wonderful lawn areas and patios outside the various properties to enjoy.

Weddings & Events

We are perfect for the ultimate countryside wedding. Our unique Barn wedding venue with rooms offers a spectacular backdrop, ideal for magical wedding day pictures. Our venue offers a rural haven, blended with a contemporary edge. The ceremony and reception room are in Osborne Hall, a large, light and airy space which boasts a majestic minstrel gallery, vast chandeliers, a glass roof where the sky bursts through, warm flagstone floor with underfloor heating plus a wooden dance floor. Linked to the hall is Albert Bar, a fabulous bar area which is great for socialising in and unwinding on the sumptuous leather sofas.

Accommodation

We have a wide array of accommodation to choose from, all ideal for a memorable countryside retreat. All our properties are beautifully furnished and come with everything you need for a relaxing getaway, including comfy living areas, a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and modern bathrooms.

Maplewood – Sleeps 4 – 6

Maplewood is one of three ground level adjacent apartments and includes a fully fitted open plan kitchen, living room and French doors opening out onto the terrace, which houses outdoor furniture and a luxurious hot tub. Bedrooms consist of 2 en suite bedrooms which can be made as a king or twin. Additionally, 1 double sofa bed is in the king room.

Ashwood – Sleeps 4- 6

Ashwood is one of three ground level adjacent apartments and includes a fully fitted kitchen, living room and 2 en suite bedrooms with large walk-in showers. French doors from the living room open onto the terrace which has outdoor furniture and a hot tub.

Hollywood – Sleeps 4 – 6

One of three ground level adjacent apartments, Hollywood comes with a fully fitted kitchen and a living room with French doors which open out onto the terrace which offers outdoor furniture and a personal hot tub. Two en suite bedrooms can be made as twin or kings. A double sofa bed is available in the king bedroom.

Byre – Sleeps 4

This gorgeous ground floor apartment is large, modern and includes 2 en suite bedrooms. Relax and socialise in the fabulous open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. Outside there is a lawn and share patio areas for al fresco dining.

Hayloft – Sleeps 4

This first-floor loft is housed in our fantastic barn conversion, sitting above the Byre. The apartment has 2 en suite bedrooms and a lovely open plan lounge with a TV and DVD player, kitchen and dining area.

Lodge – Sleeps 4

Our semi-detached lodge is nestled aside the main barn on the ground floor. The property is great for families and includes a garden. There are two bedrooms, a separate shower room and underfloor heating throughout. The open plan lounge comes with a dining area and kitchen.

Stable – Sleeps 2 – 4

This charming semi-detached property sits aside the main barn on the ground floor and comes with 2 bedrooms, plus a separate shower room. Unwind in the open plan lounge which also includes a kitchen and dining area. Lovely features include an additional dining and seating space in the conservatory, plus a private outdoor hot tub overlooking Bulbarrow Hill.

Granary – Sleeps 5

Our gorgeous barn conversion includes 2 en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has an open plan lounge and kitchen and a spacious living area with a ground floor shower room and WC.

Plumtree – Sleeps 6

This charming semi-detached cottage sleeps 6 in 3 en suite bedrooms on the first floor, one comes with a fully size bath and 2 have showers. The property includes a ground floor WC, plus 2 open plan lounges, a kitchen and dining area.

Jasmine – Sleeps 7

Our delightful semi-detached cottage sits beside the main barn and has 3 en suite bedrooms on the first floor, one with a full-size bath and the other 2 with showers. The property has a ground floor WC, an open plan lounge and a dining area with a separate kitchen.

Helena – Sleeps 8

Based within The Victorian Barn, the property sleeps 8 and includes 4 en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a WC, a separate kitchen, large living area and an outdoor hot tub and patio for al fresco dining.

Leopold – Sleeps 8

This brilliant property is in the Victorian Barn and includes 4 en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a WC, large kitchen and spacious living area. Outside there is a hot tub and patio area.

Beatrice – Sleeps 10

Our second largest property includes 4 en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a glass frontage, underfloor heating, a WC, a separate kitchen and a huge living area with a dining space and farmhouse dining table for 10. Outside there is a hot tub and large patio area.

Victoria and Albert – Sleeps 10 – 14

Located within The Victorian Barn, our largest property offers a flexible space for large groups. The property has 4 bedrooms, 3 of which offer an en suite with a shower and one featuring a whirlpool bathroom. On the first floor there is an en suite bedroom sleeping 6. There is a first floor kitchenette and a ground floor dining room. The lounge has a bar and 75’’ TV. Outside there are open plan patio areas with picnic furniture for al fresco dining.

All guests to The Victorian Barn have access to our onsite leisure facilities. This includes:

Visiting Woolland & Exploring Dorset

Woolland is a pretty village in North Dorset, set amongst beautiful scenery near Blandford Forum. It is an ideal base for exploring the many wonderful attractions and places of interest that the area has to offer. There are also a plethora of beautiful walks, cycle routes, towns and villages just waiting to be explored.

Within a 30 minute drive from Woolland you can reach:

Cerne Abbas and its famous giant.
Blandford Forum.
Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve.
Fiddleford Manor.
Plus several National Trust houses and gardens.

Didn’t use any nearby eating places which some were within walking distance but just a short drive away at sturminster Newton there are takeaways available.
