Customer Reviews

"We have had a most memorable enjoyable stay here at Gould's Farmhouse! Very spacious and clean, situated in a great lcation. We have loved sitting out in the big garden in between oour day trips out to some wonderful places - magnificent Jurassic Coast, especially in the sunshine - still lots more to see when we get the chance to come back again. The week has flown by with having created special family moments we will always look back fondly on. Vacation time seems to fly by too quickly! Thanks Nicola ....we are so grateful we came across your lovely home - which we see you have put your heart and thought into. Perfect spot to get around by car, bike, walks - it has been superb! Thank you" - The Gore Family, August 2025.

"Our first stay, but it will not be our last. We have much enjoyed our fortnight here, notwithstanding our mishap! We look forward to being back next July." - Neil, Gwen & Family, June/July 2025

"We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Gould's Farmhouse. Nicola was really friendly and helpful and helped make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The farmhouse and gardens were lovely and great for the dogs. It was fun to try out the Aga - great roast potatoes take about an hour forty five minutes! We found the village very welcoming and a good local store and pub. There are nice local walks as well, I especially liked to walk to Weatherby Castle and Tolpuddle is only a 2 mile walk away. Dorset is beautiful and we had easy access to walk the Coast Park from Kimmeridge Bay to Lyme Regis. We enjoyed trips to Dorchester, Blandford, Weymouth, Portland and Lyme Regis. A bit furthr afield is the Square and Compass pub at Worth Matravers, great views, pasties and pints!" - David, August 2024.

"Lovely stay our second! Thank you Nicola! Hope to be back again soon! Another fantastic holiday and already planning our next visit. A special place to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary with our family!" - Charles, May 2024.

"We both really enjoyed our week's stay at Gould's Farmhouse at the end of July 2023 so much so we will definitely be staying there again. When choosing somewhere to stay we have to have "Dog Friendly" at the top of our search filters which first brought Gould's Farmhouse to our attention. Our two black labradors also enjoyed their stay, sleeping next to the warmth of the Aga at night. The large secure garden provided us with a very comfortable environment to stay in and Nicola, the owner, whose family home this was going back to 1940s was always just a phne call away and nothing was too much trouble. Just a few minutes' walk away is the award winning pub, The Royal Oak, which serves food all day but you ae well advised to book as like us, many people seem to enjoy eating there. A short drive away is Poundbury where we have friends so Gould's Farmhouse is very conveniently situated for meeting up with them." - Steve, July 2023.
