Enjoy your own garden or the shared lawns by the shallow trout stream, 20 acres of lawns, green lanes, meadows, woods and water meadows. Logburner in each cottage. Family friendly, dog friendly. Ten minute drive from the beach. Close to Start Bay & beaches, pretty villages & The Coast Path.
No through traffic, it’s a green lane beyond us. A 24-hour wildlife channel outside your window, green lane walks from your cottage door. Great birdwatching & star-gazing – no light pollution.
Reconnect with nature and each other, away from the white noise of TV, wifi and mobiles - there is a landline in the office and mobile reception up the lane.
Free electric car charging using electricity generated by our water turbine.
We welcome dogs and are flexible on number.
Quack CottageA typical, ‘chocolate box’ cottage: beams, wooden window seats, thick walls, & stone fireplace. A huge, private, south-facing, fenced garden on the riverbank. Roses round the windows. Sleeps up to 4, one double, two singles.
Crownwheel CottageA ‘Tardis’ cottage, bigger inside than it seems outside. Great for groups of friends or family; spacious, open plan living + dining kitchen. Romantic downstairs double, above the stream; bunk bed room; bathroom & further loo. Upstairs, large twin + own huge bathroom. Private, streamside patio leads to wildflower woods by stream. Sleeps 6-8.
Barleycorn CottageIn the old mill itself, an original grindstone in the kitchen floor & massive oak beams, thick walls, high ceilings, deep slate sills. Stream & valley views. Sleeps up to 4. Spacious double and twin. Its fully fenced garden was the mill pond.
Rose CottageRomantic Rose Cottage is a picture-postcard cottage, elm panelling &window seats, plus a log burner in both stone fireplaces. Enjoy long valley views from its large south-facing deck & fenced garden. Sleeps 2-4; double + en suite, twin + en suite.
Mill CottageBy the brook. Outstanding views to old bridge, garden & valley from modern upstairs sitting/dining kitchen. Beams & log burner & easy open plan.

We charge £25 per dog per week and the price for the cottage includes freshly-ironed bedlinen, all electricity and logs for the log-burning stove. You will need to bring towels and dog towels.
We can sleep up to 23 people and we have no access to Wi-Fi.
