Located in a beautiful rural setting at Sidford, it is one of the select places around Britain designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

About Boswell Farm Cottages

Our accommodation has been sympathetically converted from the original period buildings, some of which date back to the 17th Century. Each accommodation has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished throughout and the private gardens planted with delicately scented flowers in abundance. We find that many guests during their stay enjoy spending quality time listening to the birds, star gazing on a clear night and dining al fresco.

A charming holiday cottage tucked away in a corner of the historic courtyard. Sleeping up to 4, the property has patio doors leading straight onto the secluded, private garden with its lovely views over farmland and the enchanting Sid Valley.


With parts dating from the 1700s, The Granary is character holiday cottage sleeping up to 5 guests. It boasts fantastic views, and the private garden has an eating area adjoining the farm meadows – simply idyllic.

Cider House

Built in the 1850s, the Cider House was Boswell’s original press house. This lovely cottage has a private, enclosed garden and views over the old courtyard and the Sid Valley. The Cider House sleeps up to 6 people, or 11 if let with the Mill House.


Built in the 1890s and originally a ‘linhay’ or open fronted barn for storing horse-drawn carts, The Linhay is now a spacious and comfortable holiday cottage, sleeping 6. The property enjoys meadow views and its patio doors open onto the private cottage garden – the perfect place to relax after a day of Devon exploration!

Mill House

The 19th Century Mill House was the former dairy and has been transformed into a delightful, character holiday cottage with private garden. With fabulous views of the Sweetcombe valley and a four poster bed in the master bedroom, the property can comfortably sleep up to 5 guests.


Built in the mid 19th Century as a purpose-built shippen or cowshed, where the cows would have all been milked by hand. Now a pretty holiday cottage that sleeps up to 4 guests, with enclosed private garden, which adjoins pasture and beyond with stunning views, so is very peaceful.

Visiting Sidford & Exploring Devon

Boswell Farm is located on the stunning Sweetcombe Valley affords many wonderful walking opportunities and the nearby village of Sidford has a small selection of local shops, pubs and other amenities, as well local transport links.

There are many unspoilt parts to be found in the region, with local heathlands and unspoilt beaches. The nearby fishing town of Sidmouth is a popular traditional seaside town situated along the “Jurassic Coast” here you will find a much larger selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, is only 2 miles away.
