Homefield Garden Flat offers superb self-catering accommodation on the edge of Aveton Gifford village, located in the South Hams near Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth and ideal for coastal walks, access to beautiful beaches and discovering local attractions such as National Trust properties with gardens plus dramatic Dartmoor.


Our lovely bright ground floor Garden Flat offers a modern open-plan lounge/diner with a double sofa, TV, dining table and chairs. French doors lead out onto a sunny patio area and the flat has use of our large garden with areas to sit and the use of a BBQ.

The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a range of appliances: fridge/freeze, microwave, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, iron and ironing board. The double bedroom includes bed linen, towels and hair-dryer, with an en-suite shower room which has a walk-in shower cubicle, basin and WC. A gas boiler heats the water and central heating (plus use of our washing machine and tumble dryer by arrangement).

Off-road parking for one car is available on our driveway adjacent to the Garden Flat.


Aveton Gifford sits on the River Avon, or Aune, that flows from the Avon Dam on Dartmoor down to Bantham Beach and Burgh Island at Bigbury-on-Sea and provides an idea base for exploring the area. We have a Village Shop/PO and the Fisherman’s Rest pub/restaurant within walking distance. There are lots of wonderful seafood restaurants in the area, a variety of beaches, the beautiful coastal path plus golf, sailing, kayaking and paddle-boarding. Kingsbridge is a market town with two supermarkets, shops, waterside area, a cinema and sports centre with swimming pool.
