Summary

North Hayne Holiday Cottages are set on our farm at Bishop Nympton in Devon. Our farm is family friendly and is a short drive from South Molton. We are an ideal base for families and friends who want to explore this beautiful part of the West Country. For larger groups – we can accommodate up to 45 guests and 10 cots when letting all properties.

We have been awarded Silver for Accessibility and Inclusivity for the whole of the South West of England. We recognise hidden disabilities and create a supportive environment for everyone, placing inclusivity at the heart of holidays at North Hayne Farm. The Cottages

Our farm cottages are set within 10 acres of rolling pasture land. They enjoy far reaching views of Exmoor and are in the heart of a peaceful valley. The accommodation has been converted from old farm buildings, to provide modern and comfortable accommodation for all the family. They still retain many of the original features along with more homely and current luxuries.

Katie’s Corner

A single storey character cottage ideal for couples, grand parents or small families. Idyllic views over farm land and our own children’s farm. Enclosed patio garden with private hot tub. Sleeps 2 (+) and a cot.

Tom Kitten

Mid terrace single storey cottage suitable for those with very young children or those requiring easy walking access. Own private hot tub. Sleeps 4 + cot.

Jemima Puddleduck

Three storey character beamed cottage perfect for families of all ages. Private enclosed decking area and large private hot tub. For larger groups Jemima Puddleduck may be booked with Mrs Tiggywinkle (next door) to accommodate up to 11 people. Sleeps 6 + Cot. Own large private hot tub.

Mrs Tiggywinkle

Three storey character beamed cottage perfect for smaller families. Private enclosed decking area and large private hot tub. For larger groups Mrs Tiggywinkle may be booked with Jemima Puddleduck (next door) to accommodate up to 11 people. Sleeps 5 + Cot. Own large private hot tub.

Samuel Whiskers

A larger three storey spacious character beamed cottage (previously the old coach house) with external stone steps to first floor. Enclosed garden with large private hot tub. Log burner for cosy nights in. Private hot tub. Sleeps 6 + cot.

Peter Rabbit

Mid terrace cottage on two levels. Ideal for smaller families. Enclosed garden with private hot tub. Sleeps 4 + cot. Private hot tub.

Squirrel Nutkin

A very spacious cottage on two levels with bedrooms all together on the ground floor. Enclosed garden with large private hot tub. Sleeps 6 (+2) and a cot.

Jeremy Fisher

A fabulous spacious character cottage ideal for large families or two families sharing. Ground floor access is ideal for anyone with mobility considerations. Sleeps up to 10 + Cot. Private hot tub.

We have ensured that each property includes everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The kitchens are fully equipped and we have a collection of children’s equipment for you to use. This includes:

Stairgates.
Travel cots.
High chairs.
Step up stools.
Booster seats.
Bed guards.
Baby monitor on request.

Don’t worry about bringing bedding; we will make sure that all beds are made up ready for arrival. Cot linen is available to hire. Bathroom towels and mats are included. Beach towels are available to hire. A basic kitchen pack is provided and a welcome pack will be waiting for your arrival that includes fresh flowers and Devonshire cream tea.

There is also an indoor games room and playbarn available.

The Farm

Our child friendly farm provides children with the opportunity to experience farm life. Extended support is available for children with autism and other special needs. At the farm we offer:

Animal handling sessions.
Donkey rides.
Feed the sheep.
Bottle feed the lambs each spring.
Watch our ducks and hens (chicks at Easter).
Say hello to our goats.
Visit our little pigs.

The farm provides a wonderful opportunity for confidence to develop and for Early Years learning to take place supported by our range of EYFS activity packs and farm trails.

Come down to the barns twice a day to help feed and care for the animals then collect freshly laid eggs from our rehomed ex-battery hens who will provide plenty of entertainment for anyone brave enough to feed them worms or pasta! They lay fresh eggs for us every morning which our guests are welcome to come and help collect. Our eggs are available to buy from the farm house. For our morning helpers there is the added excitement of having a free donkey ride. For some of our older children, or indeed willing parents, our goats are always keen to be taken for a walk.

We also offer on-site hollistic treatments & therapies.

Visiting Bishop Nympton & Exploring Devon

The village of Bishop Nympton is about 3 miles from South Molton. It is an ideal base from which to explore Devon. Being located in such a beautiful part of the West Country means that there are a number of walks and trails just waiting to be explored.

Nearby South Molton has shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is also the gateway to Exmoor. When you’re not wandering through the town you could visit one of the many attractions in this area of Devon:

Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaurs.
