These lovingly restored cottages are situated in a truly unique position at the top of Hall Dale in Stanshope and therefore are ideally positioned for the Dovedale and Manifold Valleys. Church Farm CottageThis cottage originally formed part of our main farmhouse which is Grade II listed, dating from around the 16th Century and was featured in the "Period Living and Traditional Home" magazine.
The cottage is lovingly restored and beautifully converted to a very high standard. It is full of character with many original features of interest. As you enter the main hall there is a stone flagged floor and beamed ceiling. To the left is a fitted kitchen/dining room, also with a beamed ceiling, a gritstone fireplace, window seat and a quarry tiled floor. Off the hall is the second bathroom with a shower cubicle, hand basin and toilet. The L-shaped lounge has a full-beamed ceiling and sandstone fireplace, inset with an old black range for those cosy open fires.
There are polished floorboards throughout. The main bedroom includes a king-size canopy bed and wonderful open views across the surrounding countryside. The second bedroom has two good-sized 3'6" single beds. Both bedrooms are decorated to a high standard. The main bathroom consists of a bath, hand basin and toilet. The cottage has a secure private cottage garden.
We provide duvets, linen and towels. The cottage has oil-fired central heating and electricity - all included. There is a cooker, a fridge, a washer/drier, microwave, TV, cots and high chair, garden furniture, external lighting, private gardens and parking. We accept pets by arrangement.

Ancestral Barn5 Star Visit England. Our ancestral barn infuses charm and character with beamed ceilings and panelled walls. The barn is filled with antiques, has polished floors and richly coloured rugs. The lounge has a glorious open range fireplace and antique furniture. Three bedrooms (one accessible for the mobile disabled downstairs) feature splendid canopy beds that are the very essence of comfort and luxury. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, two with showers and the master bedroom has a roll-top bath.
The Barn comprises: A splendid beamed lounge with comfortable chairs to relax by the cosy open fire - TV & and music centre.
Delightful kitchen/dining room – fridge, freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, etc. Separate utility room – washer and dryer and hanging facility with ironing equipment. Bedroom 1- magnificent king-size French canopy bed, dressing table, chairs etc. En suite bathroom with roll-top bath. Bedroom 2 - two single canopy beds, dressing table, chairs. En suite shower room, washbasin and toilet. Bedroom 3 (Situated downstairs) Elegant king-size regency canopy bed, dressing table, chairs. En suite walk in shower, washbasin and toilet. Fully equipped for the mobile disabled and the elderly.
Fresh linen/towels, private parking, cot, high chair, private garden. Oil fired central heating, electric included. Splendid open country view over our organic farm.
