Millfields Farm offers luxurious self catering accommodation in Kirk Ireton on the edge of Cardington Reservoir and Nature Reserve. Set within stunning rolling hills on the southern peak district, we are perfect for an idyllic getaway or special occasion. We are ideal for exploring Ashbourne and a range of great attractions in Derbyshire.

We have 5 gorgeous properties to choose from, including a six-bedroom lavish Georgian farmhouse to an intimate one-bed property for a romantic holiday. All the homes boast spectacular countryside views of the timeless landscape.

Heron House – Sleeps 16

You can enjoy a truly unforgettable holiday in our wonderful farmhouse. The house has been beautifully restored to blend elegant period features with modern luxuries. The magnificent farmhouse has 6 bedrooms which all boast an individual boutique style and en suite facilities. A sumptuous sunroom comes with stylish plush couches and views overlooking the manicured rose bushes, wide lawns and private fishing lake. You can also relax in the cosy snug with comes with a smart TV and French doors open onto the patio area. The deluxe kitchen comes with a range of excellent facilities fit for a banquette and the large oak dining table seats 16.

Woodpecker Loft – Sleeps 10

Our charming barn boasts rustic wood and stone to offer the ultimate, rural retreat. The barn sleeps 10 across double bedrooms, with each boasting their own bespoke shower/bathroom. A centrepiece of the house is the beautifully restored open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area which has huge oak beams within the gothic arched roof and elegant contemporary chandeliers. The deluxe kitchen is ideal for cooking up some gastronomic delights and comes with Gaggenau appliances.

Curlew Cottage – Sleeps 7

This superb cottage is great for families and has a modern kitchen, 3 large bedrooms, including two with en suites and a spacious lounge with a toasty log burner. The opulent family bathroom has a stunning freestanding Victorian bath to soak yourself in. French doors open onto a lovely garden patio with a BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining.

Barn Owl Cottage – Sleeps 4

Our cosy cottage is the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The ground level cottage has two double bedrooms which share a bathroom. The contemporary open plan kitchen/lounge will suit all your needs. The chic lounge includes a wood burner and wall-mounted LCD TV and the kitchen is well-equipped.

Swallow Barn – Sleeps 2

This cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway. The bedrooms feature a fabulous wooden bed and striking oak furnishings to blend seamlessly with the gorgeous exposed beams. The large and airy open plan living/dining room has French doors leading out to a pretty patio area. A well-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, hob, fridge and microwave.

Our amazing site is set in 10 acres of grounds and is perfect for a special occasion, including birthdays, anniversaries or a memorable party. We can source high-quality catering, marquees and bar facilities. We also have a range of facilities for corporate events, including a conference/meeting room for 30 delegates – please enquire for details.

Visiting Kirk Ireton & Exploring Derbyshire

Derbyshire is one of the most beautiful places in the world and has lots of great attractions to see. The High Peak runs for 17.5 miles and passes through some of Derbyshire’s most stunning countryside. Chatsworth Garden is a beautiful place to explore and has a Victorian rock garden and maze, modern waterworks and sculptures. Gulliver's Kingdom is a fantastic theme park for all the family.
