The Glenorchy Centre offers excellent self catering accommodation in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Our charming Grade II Listed building sleeps up to 26 people, ideal for families or groups looking for somewhere relaxing to stay.

Accommodation

Our lovely property is in a pretty area along a peaceful cobbled street. The centre is perfect for groups of all ages. In the past we have had families, church groups, schools and young people all come and stay.

The lower floor houses bedrooms and dorms. We have 3 separate dorms of 4, 8 and 12 beds. A 2 bed leaders rooms is also available. There are 2 blocks of showers and toilets and a separate disabled/leaders wet room. All bedding is provided.

The main hall is a large space with a TV, snooker table, table tennis table and plenty of chairs and tables. The large stage is a brilliant space for presentations and drama. The kitchen/dining area comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. The mezzanine area is ideal for smaller groups to meet.

Visiting Wirksworth & Exploring Derbyshire

Wirksworth has a range of local shops and facilities. A short drive away is Matlock Bath where outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing and rock climbing. The village of Cromford has a beautiful canal which provides scenic walks along its banks. Gulliver’s Kingdom Theme park is a great day out for all the family. Aimed at children aged 2-13, you can enjoy a wide range of rides and attractions: from the Western World and pirates play area, to the log flume and Drop Tower. Gulliver's Kingdom is one of the best theme parks in the UK for children. A number of superb attractions are nearby:

Masson Mill.
Black Rocks.
Carsington Water.
Peak District Lead Mining Museum.
