Bloomfield House provides accommodation in our gorgeous apartment in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Situated above a famous bakewell tart shop, our modern and spacious holiday home is perfect for enjoying the local area and the Peak District National Park.
AccommodationOur wonderful apartment is great for groups or families and can sleep up to 7 people. There are 3 well appointed bedrooms: Two bedrooms come with king size beds (1 also comes with a single bed) and 1 room comes with a double en suite. Bed linen and towels are included. All rooms come with Freeview TV and there is also a spacious family bathroom. There is a relaxing and comfortable living/dining space with roomy sofas, TV and DVD player. The contemporary kitchen has tasteful units and includes an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.
A cot, highchair and stairgate are provided.
Visiting Bakewell & Exploring DerbyshireBloomfield House is just a few strides from its many shops, cafes, restaurants and The Bakewell Tart Shop. With the River Wye running through the market town, there are plenty of peaceful walks to enjoy in the area. Bakewell itself is a vibrant town within the heart of the national park and is home to many local amenities together with the magnificent Chatsworth Estate (only 5 minutes away) and Haddon Hall. The River Wye runs through the centre, providing opportunities for relaxing by the waterís edge or enjoying riverside walks.
The nearby Monsal Trail provides a traffic free route for walkers, cyclists (bike hire available at Hassop Station) and horse riders, straight through to Buxton. Local key annual events include the Eroica Britannia British Cycling Festival, Bakewell Show, Well Dressings, Carnival Week, Bakewell Arts Festival and Bakewell Music Festival. Surrounding Peak District towns and villages are within a 30 minute drive include the fascinating plague village of Eyam, Castleton, Tideswell and Hartington. The major cities of Sheffield, Derby and Manchester can all be reached in around an hour, as can Britainís premier theme park, Alton Towers. A shop, pub and restaurant are 175 yards away.
