Shepherd's Cottage - Sleeps 4

The furnishings and equipment are to the highest standard and spotlessly clean with careful attention to detail to make your stay memorable. The sitting room has a lovely fireplace made of stone mullions reclaimed from the original barn. The fire is a very effective ‘living-flame’ electric stove. There is full central heating and double glazing and two bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, basin and WC while downstairs there is a shower room with basin and WC. With TV, CD and DVD player in the cosy sitting room and oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in the kitchen areas, everything is provided for you. There is also an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your free use. Outside is your private parking area with seating to enjoy a barbecue and drink, enjoying the view across the valley.

Milkmaid's Cottage - Sleeps 2

The sitting room is spacious for just two people and has a lovely corner fireplace made of old oak timbers reclaimed from the original barn. The fire is a very effective ‘living-flame’ electric stove. The furnishings and equipment are to the highest standard and spotlessly clean with careful attention to detail to make your stay memorable. Milkmaid’s Cottage has full central heating and double glazing, two bathrooms: one upstairs with a bath, basin and WC, and a downstairs shower room with basin and WC. With TV, CD, DVD in the cosy sitting room and oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in the kitchen areas, everything is provided for you. Also upstairs is a small dressing room adjacent to the bedroom which would be suitable for a child’s cot. There is also an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your free use.

Location

The cottages nestle under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. It is a walkers’ paradise with direct access to the footpath network. From your doorstep, you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout. Then walk to Mam Tor or drop down into the Edale valley.
