Swiers Farmhouse is a Grade II listed farm house in the Peak District village of Carsington which is about 18 minutes from Matlock in Derbyshire. This self catering farmhouse is ideal for families who want to holiday together, a reunion of friends or for people who want to celebrate a special occasion. Carsington provides a great place to stay whilst exploring the Peak District with many attractions on the doorstep. We are close to Chatsworth House and Alton Towers which are both fun days out for all of the family.

Accommodation

This beautiful 7 bedroomed Grade II listed stone Farmhouse is approximately 300 years old with oak beams and stone mullions which all add to the original character and charm of the building.

The Ground Floor

Dining room beamed with stone fire place, window seat, stone mullions and large oak table seating 16.
Farmhouse kitchen with external door to the sunny front terrace, hand painted bespoke kitchen with large electric hob, electric oven, built in larder fridge and dishwasher, all built around a large farmhouse table and comfy sofa.
Utility/boot room with a further freezer and fridge, washing machine and clothes drying rails.
A rear doorway leads to the rear Farmhouse gardens and Lawn beyond.
Ground floor shower sink WC.
The ground floor bedroom has a king size bed and a single bed.

First Floor

Two family bathrooms, one at each end of the house both with bath with shower over, whb, WC and bidet, gable end windows. The bedroom comes with a king size bed and an additional single bed.
Lounge with stone fireplace, mullion windows, window seat, wide planked timber flooring with Chinese silk rug, four sofas and an assortment of armchairs, LCD TV, DVD player, along with an assortment of books and films.
Study/hallway/occasional Bedroom with antique bookcase, desk & chairs with - this space also has a single bed.

Second Floor

The second floor comprises of 3 bedrooms: one room has a double bed and one single beds, one has double bed and the last room has a single bed. There is a also a triple room with three single beds.

Situated right at the heart of England this is perhaps one of the most accessible areas and it offers the broadest selection of landscapes and attractions.

This is a region of contrasts, with wild moorland, classic walking country which encompasses every kind of activity, from a gentle stroll to the lofty challenge of the Peaks themselves. The leafy lanes and quiet villages are ideal for that feeling of getting away from it all. With towns such as Buxton, with its wonderful architecture and cultural life, along with picturesque Bakewell and the attractions of Matlock, you'll be spoiled for choice with places to stay and things to see and do.
