The cottage is situated at Thornbank, a traditional working farm with views across the Wasdale fells, including Scafell Pike and Great Gable. Harebeck Cottage is full of charm and provides a warm, welcoming base for families, couples and friends, with useful amenities close at hand. Its history dates back to the 1700s, which can be seen in original slate floors, the comforting glow of the Aga and a feature fireplace complete with wood-burner.
The cottage features a large open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, Freeview TV and an Aga, alongside a separate, fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. 
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms: one double room and another double room that also contains a single bed and bunk beds, comfortably sleeping up to six people. A sofa bed in the living room can accommodate any extra guests for short stays by arrangement. The spacious bathroom includes a roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle.
Reached by a single track, this traditional Cumbrian farmhouse is surrounded by open countryside with far-reaching views of the Southern Fells. Attached to the owner’s home, it offers easy access to the nearby coastline and the charm of a working farm. 
Its west coast location provides excellent opportunities for exploring. Families can enjoy Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, while keen walkers are just a short drive from Scafell Pike at the head of the Wasdale Valley. Seascale’s open beach is ideal for all ages, including dogs, and activities such as golf, horse riding and dining out are close at hand. The owner can arrange hampers of locally sourced produce ready for arrival, and farm tours can be organised in advance. The beach is three miles away, with a shop, pub and restaurant half a mile from the cottage.
