Accommodation

Our charming cottage is brimming with character, boasting beams, stone flagged floors and shuttered windows. The house sleeps up to 4 people and includes a range of facilities.

A spacious upstairs lounge has a TV, DVD player and films, with doors opening onto a balcony that offers glorious views to the rear garden and rolling hills beyond. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped and includes a delightful welcome pack. Appliances include a washing machine, fridge, toaster, hob, microwave, oven and grill.

Two double bedrooms come with comfortable beds, ideal for a restful night’s sleep after a day sightseeing. All duvets and linen are provided. Both rooms share a sumptuous bathroom with a roll-top bath and a shower cubicle.

Outside there is a lovely, enclosed garden with patio furniture provided for al fresco dining.

Visiting Skelsmergh & Exploring Cumbria

Skelsmergh is a rural hamlet with a church, several farms and lots of houses. Nearby Kendal is a quaint market town with independent shops, restaurants and historic attractions. Head to Kendal Castle to see its 12th Century castle ruins or engage with natural history at Kendal Museum. You can also visit the magical Sizergh Castle, a medieval fortress surrounded by gardens.
