Langdale Cottages are a couple of self catering holiday cottages which are located within the Cumbrian village of Elterwater. Elterwater is one of the most stunning villages within the Lake District and it provides a gateway to Langdale Valley. These holiday cottages are also only a short drive from the town of Ambleside which is a major tourist resort with shops and places to eat.
Meadow Bank (sleeping 8/10 plus cot)
Meadow Bank is set in mature gardens in the unspoilt village of Elterwater at the entrance to the Langdale Valley and has fine views across the fields to the Beck and towards the fells.
Built of stone and slate, it is comfortably furnished and has 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles, 1 with en suite shower room and 2 twin bedded rooms. There are 2 additional bathrooms.
On the ground floor is the main sitting room/dining room plus an additional smaller sitting room with 2 single guest beds and kitchen with all usual appliances. The main sitting room has a coal fire and there is oil central heating. Sky TV and Wi-Fi are included.
Off road parking for 2 cars.
This is an open plan cosy cottage for 2 in the grounds of Meadow Bank.

Both properties enjoy membership of the Langdale Club (except between 4.00 – 6.30pm) which is 5 minutes walk.
There is a very good pub, The Britannia, in Elterwater and a Co-op Store in the next village about 10 minutes walk.
